To Do List Check Off on Widget

I'm no expert in apps and i've been searching everywhere have download a bazillion (okay a little less then that) apps in search of an app that has a widget I can place on one of the home screens to where it contains my to do list and i can check off items i've completed right in the widget. Is this not possible? I'm not too familiar with everything that goes behind making a widget so I apologize in advance if its a silly question. In other words I want a to do list but I want to be able to actually check off the things ive completed within the widget that is on my home screen.

Note everything is the best I've come up with.
You can make your checklists then sticky them to your taskbar up top. I really love it's convenience to always be there with the flick of my finger.

Lots of apps that do the same. It is all about having one where you do not have to open the app to check an item. It is all about checking it from within the widget.
 
"Tag ToDo List" by Teo, sounds like it has just what you want. The widget cycles through your to do list, lets you check them off, and manually cycle through if you want.
 
This is actually the only one that has come close...unfortunately I'd really like it to show me my entire agenda in one window...and a bigger widget...a girl can dream :)
 
I know this is a year old thread, but i was wondering if you found the app you were looking for? Im looking for the same thing and and would love some direction on the perfect to do list:)
 
+1 for colornote...it took me forever to find a note app I really liked and wasnt so large like evernote...colornote does everything I want esp the widget feature
