to update or not???

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3. It was flashed from Sprint to Cricket...working & no problems. Today I got a message alert saying system update available. A software update to update the operating system fromAndriod 4.1.2 to Andriod 4.3. Will updating this cause my phone to go back to a Sprint phone?

I have a Verizon GS3 flashed to page plus and have had two updates since it was flashed. I have not had any problems and it did not revert back to Verizon. I hope this helps.
