today - Mobile Network not available

My wife and I both have Optimus V phones and use the $35/month plan. For some reason today here at home our phones show no bars and we have received the message: "Mobile network not available" any time we tried to make a call.

The weather was perfect. Can anyone speculate why the network is out?

Does Virgin Mobile post that information anywhere on line? I use my phone far more for internet stuff than as a phone so it's only a minor inconvenience. OTOH, we're paying for a service that, at least today, is not being provided.

I'm not sure about if there was an outage or not, but VMUSA posts stuff about network outages and such on twitter and facebook.

Thanks for that info.
I just followed VMUSA at Twitter but see that they haven't posted anything since before April began.
So if there is some kind of local outage that began today or yesterday then they've made no mention of it.
