Help Too much music causing Cliq to run slow? Or 2.1 upgrade?

Soooo since I upgraded to 2.1 my phone has been running REAAAAAAALLY slow. EVERYTHING is slow.

I'm also having a problem in which while I am in a call, the screen times out super fast....as in if I am on a call and I want to hang up, I press my home button to re-activate the screen, and it goes black after about 1 second. I have to try and try and try to get it to come on and STAY on long enough to click through to hang up or press a button.

I'm wondering if these a problems with 2.1 OR .................

Also when I upgraded I went ahead and loaded about 40 songs onto the phone as well.

Has anyone had any trouble will filling up their phone memory causing it to run super slow? Or caused any other issues? Or do we think this is a 2.1 upgrade issue?

I think it's just 2.1, the phone was not fast with 1.6 and has gotten slower with 2.1. I heard 2.2 has speed improvements but I don't know if the Cliq will ever get it, considering it's now over a year old and it took forever to get the 2.1 upgrade.
