As most of you know, the touch screen dominates the android device's way of input. As in all Android Phone have a touchscreen, but some dont have a key board, so its wise to program with touch screen in mind IMHO... So lets discuss ways to use touch screen ONLY input.
One way I seen it used is the button icons are placed on the screen and used as real buttons (You all know what Im talking about) I personally dont like that idea. I think it clutters up the screen and looks unapealling.
Another way is what I call "Tap and click" like a mouse, you tap the screen and use that as the main input. That can be really useful in a RTS game or even diablo style game. I personally like this because I think it really uses the touch screen as what it is, you touch the whole screen.
Is there any other ways that you can think of as an input using the touch pad?
