Help Touch Screen is Way Off

I don't know if this is just how the phone is or what.

Before I go on, i read all the posts and other websites I could find about any related issues and nothing seems to be the same. So I finally signed up here and hopefully someone can help.

When playing games and what not the touch screen feels way off. When typing on swype etc it feels the same way. For example playing games with the little analog display on the screen, I have to move my thumb way up to go up, a good amount past the circle. Its any direction and any game. Playing Air hockey i have a hard time because it doesnt go where I want. Alot of games get rather annoying and I noticed people using my phone noting how its not as accurate or sensitive as theirs.

I used to own a Dare and i understand the differnce in the two types of touchscreens and why Im able to adjust the touch on Dare etc...but personally I felt my Dare was a lot more accurate. Its not breaking or anything, I just would like a better experience when playing games and typing, even drawing apps.

Nope no screen protector and before I bother taking it back id like to just know if its the phone itself that makes it slightly off like it is.

For example playing air hockey again. I used the very tip of my finger so i can see where its touching, and the bottom of the little circle is about a CM abover where my finger is touching.

Does it have an touch calibration option? My dad use to have this problem until he uses the calibration on the phone. People with big fingers tend to have different experience with difference size phone.

I also experience this with a Nokia 5530, I am playing a game and the tip of my finger where I touch the aim button is a little bit higher. Didn't have a problem playing the same game on a different phone.

No callibration, i was told it was taken off in a recent Android update or something like that.

And yeah, playing on my family members Samsung Galaxy, the same game, I touch and the little cirlce thing in air hockey is right under my finger. Other games I play also play more fluently on his phone than mine.

I just wanted to know if Droid 2 is known for being off like this, or if my phone is broken. Going in to Verizon is always a pain to replace things and what not, so why waste my time if the phone is just natually like this?

Its a pain in the arse drawing on this phone too. My Dare was so much more accurate.

So my phone had a file system error in it and I had to take it back anyways. So I got a new droid 2 and it was the phone itself. The new phone pinpoints exactly where im pushing down on the screen, it still lags a little in air hockey but i think thats just the game.

However using other stuff and what not its way more accurate and streamlined. I didnt know it was "that" bad until i got the replacement phone.
