Touch screen only works when charging

Manjesh

My Xiaomi Redmi 3s's old screen was broken so I imported a new LCD+Touch-screen with frame from china. After fixing the new LCD, the touch screen(LCD is working perfectly) is not working but the surprising thing is the touch screen of the new LCD is working when the phone is connected to a charger! When I unplug the charger the touch screen stops working.
any Idea why its happening? hope someone could help me.

Not sure of what you're looking for but when a device has been refurbished from an unknown source, It will be difficult to diagnose the source of the problem if the repairs wasn't done by an authorized dealer or service manufacturer. I would suggest trying to do a factory reset in the hope that the existing partition accepts the new hardware installed.

Already performed factory reset 2 times. but still the touch screen is working only when connected to a charger.

From the information given I can't come up with a solution on how to fix that issue because it seems to be a soft and hardware issue. The only thing I can possibly recommend is to contact the manufacturer in getting the correct hardware for device or take it to an authorized Xaomi repair center or a reputable repair shop. The cost of that may just creeper to purchase another one. Cheers!

Thanks for your advice. Actually the cost of repairing the mobile in authorized Xiaomi service center was high comparing with purchasing a new Lcd from china and repairing it by myself. But the idea didn't come so effective because of the touch screen issue of the china lcd. now I have no other options than bringing it to a service center!

I'm currently trying to resolve the same issue yet I did find a couple of additional things that I haven't seen here..
1. Apparently these MT based devices are picky about power. The reference I received said use Original Charger and cable.
I believe looking up the specs and confirming your device is charging within spec is more realistic and equally effective.
If you swap out charger because it wasn't meeting spec. Then Drain battery to 5% and then apply full uninterrupted charge. Repeat 3 times total prior to regular use.
I'm about to try the above.. Be back with update
