Touch Screen Problem

I just received this phone today and realized theres a problem with the touch screen. After I first unlock the device its fine but after about 30 seconds i rarley responds to my commands and starts making some commands of its own. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution.

The solution is to bring it back and ask for a warranty swap. There's evidently something wrong with the phone, probably with the touchscreen.
