Touchless Control launches all the time - TV, Radio, conversatiion

Anyone else getting this?

Mine appears to be so sensitive that I pretty much have to turn it off. It's constantly triggering off of the TV, the radio or even if people are talking in the room.

I've tried to re-record in different settings and it hasn't changed. Not only was this only supposed to launch with the catch phrase, but wasn't it only supposed to recognize your voice? Could the voice core be defective, maybe?

So far, as cool as it is (although a long way to go), I can't even use it.

Mine doesn't launch enough. I have been so frustrated that I've screamed "OKAY GOOGLE NOW!!!!" at it and it does NOTHING.

I've re-recorded it. I wish it were more sensitive. I get the "It's noisy please speak up." often. That will be with the radio on, the air conditioning blowing and the Maxx in the drink cup holder.

Then I turn down the blower, turn down the radio and pick up my phone and I STILL get that same message.

Oh well, 1st generation technology and 1st world problems.

Try recording your phrase holding the phone in slightly different positions. First, hold it like you were speaking to someone on the phone using the speakerphone. Then in the same position, but rotate the mic away from your mouth. Then, with the mic still away from your mouth, do it again at arm's length.

Obviously, a silent room is critical.

I've done that and had very good luck with it launching when I wanted it to. It has never once launched due to ambient noise. If that persists, take it back.

Hey Guys.

Well I re-recorded at home in a dead quiet room and it's now behaving. I think the first few times i did it, I was in a car with the radio going and in mt kitchen with the TV going. Also very echo-y in there. Went into my studio and did it there.

Haven't had a false trigger yet.

Pretty frickin nice now.

They still might happen. I strongly recommend that you do not check Call while locked to prevent unauthorized accidental calls being made.

I noticed Thom's other thread about that but I haven't had any trouble at all with mine. In fact, I have only had one or two occasions when it didn't work flawlessly the first time. I'm very impressed with the way it works.

I *did* originally train it in a very quiet room (with as little echo as possible). Having done this I'm impressed with how it can sort out my voice even when other people are talking or the TV is going.

yeah, the more I think about it, I'm thinking I was in a totally quiet room but pretty echo-y. Maybe that was it.

I did it several days ago in a completely silent vocal booth and it's been pretty flawless since.

that happened to me when i trained touchless control using 'ok google' without the now. once i switched back to 'ok google now' i never had an issue again.

It's kind of tricky sometimes. My wife and I both have new DROID's. My touchless control never randomly went of. Her's went off all the time, watching TV, listening to music, even during conversations.

Last night, I trained hers to my voice and mine to her voice. After retraining the phones, I played a song that set off her phone randomly five times. After the retraining, neither phone went off. So then we set our phones back to our own voices. I think that everything's straightened out now. We shall see.
