TouchPad for Android

Hi, I'm new to the forums but I thought I'd post a link to my first application - TouchPad for Android, I know there are a few other apps like it but it was the first idea I had and by the time I'd seen the others I'd already coded 3/4 of it :P.

It allows you to move the mouse on your pc by moving your finger around your touch screen.

You have to download the apk from my website, it comes in a folder with the server application and some instructions :) - sorry it's not on the market but until I make an application that people will buy so I can get my $25 sign up fee back I don't want to pay it.

Cheers, let me know what you think - any advice is great and will most likely be acted upon

This app would be awesome if the mouse moved smoothly. it lags like crap for me. but only the touchpad.... the clicks arent laggy or the sending text.

maybe i am doing something wrong?

Does it work with Bluetooth?

My Droid doesn't share the same network as my work PC does. I use PPT Remote and that ones uses Bluetooth, and it's awesome, but doesn't do mouse gestures, just back and forward and a screen preview

Thank you very much for the feedback, I've just got back from a weeks holiday and after doing a bit of testing I see what you mean about the lag - I'm going to try and fix it tonight, as for blue tooth - I've not got a blue tooth receiver on my computer so I wouldn't really be able to add that functionality as I'd be unable to test it - it doesn't matter if the computers are the same network or not as long as they are both accessible via the Internet but I presume you mean they're on LANS?

Any suggestions for improvement and any comments on my website (it's recent so it probably has some glitches or design flaws).

Cheers, Joe.

Oh I get you now - as for the adapter - it's a nice price and I think it'd be quite cool to have but I don't have any money at all right now as I'm only in high school. I'm now working on the lag and I'm going to add a sensitivity option on login. For the version after I might take a look at bluetooth but it will have to be an untested feature :s

Update: I've eliminated the lag - it was an oversight made by me in the server but it's now super sensitive because android fires like hundreds of movement actions a second so I need to tone it down - maybe process 1 in 5 messages or something.
