Help Touchscreen poltergeist!!!!

Hi, bought LG L-Fino Dual yesterday. My first Android - so not sure if I'm going crazy, or if it's a simple fix.

Everything seemed ok yesterday, loaded apps and got to know functions etc. Tonight, after charging battery, it's gone haywire!

I'm not even close to the phone and it's reacting all the time. opening to the password screen every 15 seconds. When I open the phone, it then randomly starts opening apps and operating itself, over and over . In WhatsApp, it started to type messages.

I had plastic covering put on at the store, but as I said, there was no problem until about an hour ago, so don't think that's the problem.

Anyone out there to advise would be great.

Since you just got the phone you still don't have a lot of personal stuff like pics in it, so I'd do a factory reset and see if that helps. It's the usual "fix all" for things like this, and the best time to do it is when you don't have a lot of things on the phone you want to save. Good luck!
