TouchWiz and lock screen

Lurker
Hello everyone,

I finally bought myself an Android device and it has TouchWiz preinstalled. I am not sure if the lock screen is an original Android component or a part of TouchWiz, but hopefully someone will be able to help me.

Here is the problem:
I have four options for the lock screen: no protection, symbol, PIN or password protection. If I use the first one, I see nice notifications on the default lock screen (unread messages, unanswered calls, music player etc.) and a clock. If use the symbol protection, then I see both battery status and next alarm notification. Is there any way to combine those two? In a perfect world I would like to use the symbol protection, but with notifications about unread messages and unanswered calls. Perhaps there is a lock screen application that would do the trick?

Android version: 2.3.3

Kind regards,

Have you tried WidgetLocker?

I know some people don't like it but it works well for me.

Thanks for help guys.

I bought the application, but I am not very happy with it. Somehow it works ok for unread text messages, but not for unanswered calls (after first unanswered call the counter is never set back to 0). The only thing that I really, really miss in the stock locker is the information about my battery and alarm. I wish there was a way to configure it...

Kind regards,
