I did factory reset on my android box and when i try to install kodi it says Do you want to update EXISTING application.Of course there is no existing application after factory reset so when i click install after a minute i get app not installed.To make sure i installed 2 other apps which asked permission and installed fine. I cant understand why my box thinks i have an existing app when factory reset is meant to wipe everything clean. Im downloading from official site and ive tried other sites and versions of the app with same result Any suggestions to try would be appreiciated as im all out of ideas.Never heard of anyone with this problem after reset.

Someone else posted to AF about a very similar problem a few days ago, with an apparent existing app after a factory reset. What Android box have you actually got there, and where are you trying to install Kodi from? Kodi's official distro site is here. https://kodi.tv/download

it was me that posted just seeing if anyone came up with any new ideas.The boxes arre cheap enough but its one of those problems that drive you nuts.im booting libreelec from sd card at the moment so not end of world but ive never even seen this problem before on a thread its so odd lol.
