Help trackball?????

Hi, I just my g1 yesterday, and it seems great, except it seems that my track ball has changed how it works overnight!! Yesterday I was browsing with it, and I could slowly scroll down the page using the ball, which was great, but this morning when I move it even the tinyest bit it will only jump from the top of the page to the very bottom and visa versa? Also when I'm signing into facebook or whatever, I could use it to move between the input boxes, now if I try to do that it jumps, and doesn't select any links at all!!! Have I changed the settings by mistake???

This happens to me when I hold down the "ALT" key and then use the track ball. I would try a reboot, and also try to brown while holding the ALT button and see what happens, but usually the reboot (or just pulling the battery) will work things like this out.
