Trade nexus 5x for Moto x4?

I've had my 5x for two years now, and it's time for an upgrade. Project fi is offering a trade in option for the Moto 4x preorder, but I'm not sure if it would be much of an upgrade.

Has anybody heard anything about the 4x? Also thinking of just holding out for a price drop on the pixel once the pixel 2 is released.

I just traded my my 5x in. The 5x has absolutely miserable battery life and as already noted I'll be getting future updates and what should be at least an incrementally better phone. The ability to use an SD card is a fairly significant step forward all by itself over the 5x. I just can't bring myself to spend the kind of money Google is charging for the Pixels plus they failed to put in the capacity to access the 600 mhz service that T-Mobile will be rolling out (Band 71). While I understand T-Mobile won't complete the rollout for some time, not one of the phones offered by Google (including the X4) can access Band 71 and I do travel to areas where this will be a real plus. At least the X4 is cheap enough that if I decide to upgrade to a phone in a year or two that has that capacity it won't be quite as financially painful. And the X4 actually has a earphone plug.
