Hi, loving my Nexus 7 (but not as much as my son is), and wanted to know if anyone here knew how to transfer and synch calendar information from HTC desire phone to nexus 7. I use my phone to note calendar information, but don't want to have to enter the information twice onto two different devices.

Anyone help?

If you are using Google calendar with the same Google account on each device it should just sync automagically. Check your Accounts and Sync setup is allowing this in settings.

I don't know if you use a different set up - Sense account and calendar for instance.

it should be completely seamless between your all your devices and even your PC.

For whatever reason, I can't get my google calendar to populate into my N7 calendar. I've tried to sync, unsync, but nothing. Not sure why it just doesnt show up like it does when I switch phones. I even set up my work email and sync'd the calendar and that actually shows up.

Can't offer technical help, but I can tell you for sure it's possible with your phone. I had a Desire (got rid of it Saturday) and right when I signed into the Nexus with my Google account it synced all my phone calendar info. I added some event on the Nexus just to see that it worked both ways and it synced without issue.

Make sure under the actual calendar settings you have all of your calendars turned on.... I have few calendars (Exchange, Gmail, and 3rd party server). I had to go into settings in the app and make sure it was checked to show.

All of mine were checked but I was able to make the google calendar populate last night.

I opened the calender and the color key at the bottom showed my gmail and work email. I tapped on the purple square next to my gmail address and all of my gmail calendar populated. Go figure, must have just been a glitch in the matrix.

Alas, it doesn't synch from my regular HTC desire calendar (not a google calendar) onto the Nexus 7, it only synchs from google calendar to google calendar?
