How do I transfer my contacts on my phone that are saved under a google account to just being saved to the phone?

Any reason why you want to move them from your google account to the phone?
Get on a PC, and go to your gmail account. Go into your contacts, and under the "more" button choose export. Choose export your contacts to a google .csv file.
Save the csv file to your phone's sd card.
Go into the contacts menu of your phone and choose import/export. Select import from SD card. Select the csv file you created.
This may cause you to have duplicate entries in your contacts after you are done.
