Transfer Music from "My files" to Play Music

Toni Mock

Lurker
I transferred music from my iphone to Galaxy s9. The music went to "My Files" in the Samsung app box. How do I transfer this to Play Music?

Thanks for your help.

The 'My Files' app is Samsung's basic file manager app so it's not a matter of transferring music out of 'My Files', you can use it to transfer files to different folders in your phone. It's just a file manager, not unlike Windows Explorer on a Windows PC or Finder on a Mac.

Most all music players will find your music if the files are in a folder called music. You can use the My Files app to move your music to that folder and your player will then find and play them.

Sorry, but I can't figure out how to copy from My files to Music Library,
I can only play one song at a time.
If I copied the music from "My Files" to my computer, could I then download them to My Music.

With your phone connected to your PC you can easily copy your files from one folder to another using your PC's file browser. You may want to consider moving your library to your SD card. You can create a folder called Music on your SD card and copy your files there.
