I just upgraded from Samsung Charge to Samsung Galaxy 4. I just noticed my calendar didn't transfer because I believe it wasn't a google account but a phone calendar. Please help!!!!!!

The only thing I can think to do is turn on the Charge, wifi only, and try and transfer your calendar data from phone calendar to Google. How to do that, I do not know... that will be your homework.
After that's done, go to Settings --> Accounts --> Google and make sure that calendar is synced. Once the calendar is synced with Google's servers, you should be able to sync it on the S4 (making sure that calendar is synced in Settings there as well).
