Help transfer of a cd to android device via dvd player usb port

Greetings! Not an overly tech savvy person. How do I transfer a CD to android device using the USB port on my DVD player. Not having any luck other than it charges the battery.LOL!Any guidance for this.It is a new device and only use it for basically an mp3 player. No drivers installed.Phone not activated. Thanx. Jason

What DVD player do you have?

I'd be very surprised if the usb port was good for anything besides charging.

And it's not easy to find things that just bit-copy the PCM streams found on a CD, and you're going to need a capable (not stock) player on your Android.

Better to plan on ripping the CD to mp3 files on your pc, transfer to Android from there.

I have a very inexpensive Samsung DVD player, only used for CD playback.25$ to be exact on sale.Bought a pair of them.I'm not home right now so I can't give you the model number. As I said earlier,I'm not very tech savvy.I run my android through a 1981 Scott receiver that a neighbor was throwing out.Turned out to be a cold solder joint that I found by pure luck.LOL.Your reply makes sense and is much appreciated. My android is a zte that does what I want.Just for music and do far has been trouble free.I paid 10 bucks at family dollar on black Friday.Thanx again
