have large amount of business addresses & notes on palm desktop (and sony clie).
some are used weekly and some are not used except once a year or so ... but want to keep information contained in all palm records

would like to import to droid x, but NOT into contacts, just as an accessible database, or second separate address book.

is this possible ???

For notes, I know that the app Note Everything had some tool or method for importing notes from a Palm because I used it myself. Unfortunately that was over 3 years ago, so I don't remember it well, but it's probably worth looking into that app.

For contacts, the best I can suggest would be to import them into a separate contact group. Then you can choose which groups you view in your contacts app, and so keep them hidden except when you specifically want to see them.

Another possibility might be to try Styletap: StyleTap Platform – Android Product Information. This app claims to be a Palm emulator for Android which should let you run the Palm apps, which might meet your requirement for keeping these data in a separate app. I've never tried this, but it has a trial period so I guess you could give it a spin and see whether it meets your needs.

Hope this helps :)
