how do i transfer my contacts from a samsung galaxy s2 to a computer, please?

Hi and welcome to android forums. if your contacts are synced to your google account, then you simply need to go to https://www.google.com/contacts/ and log into your gmail account.
If not you can back up your contacts to your sdcard and transfer them to your computer. To do this you need to open your contacts app, press the menu key and you should see an option for 'import/export contacts'. Select it and then select 'export to sdcard' this will create a file on you sd card (for example 0001.vcf or contacts.vcf) which you can transfer to another phone and restore using a the same process, but instead selecting 'import' instead.
This .vcf file isnt written in plain text, so you wont be able to just open it up on the computer. However, a quick google search shows a number of programs that can convert it to plain (readable) text. (though i havent tried any of them
