I need step by step help to transfer my photos from htc phone to pc

Without knowing the exact phone model, I can't be sure the info I'm giving you is correct, but I'll give it a shot.
1. Plug phone into computer USB port.
2. On phone, select "Drive Mode."
3. Wait until PC finishes finding and installing the drivers it needs. This should mount 1 or 2 drives to your system.
4. You can then proceed to copy files from the phone to the PC.
