Transfering .apk to phone

Just found a download of Beautiful Widgets (never got a chance to download it before it was pulled) and I was wondering how I would be able to transfer it to my phone (if there's an app I have to download, etc.).

Any help would be appreciated.

simple, plug the usb cable in, mount the card, transfer away.

Really? I read somewhere that I need Astro on the phone, but wasn't sure.

yes. it is just an SD card like in your camera and like your harddisk.

You don't need Astro (or any file manager) to do the transfer. You might need it to locate the file, though. You may also need an app installer that allows you to install programs from an APK file. I have eoeAppInstaller and it works fine.
