When i plug my phone into the computer I feel like something isnt working properly.

1. i open window explorer and i see the GT-i9300 camera icon and rightclick and click explore.
2. about 12 folders show up. But the folders dont have a title... only once i click and open a folder, the name of the folder starts to appear on the left folder tree pane...
3. No matter what file i come across, it doesnt have a name. just a generic icon for sound, or photo.
4. *MOST IMPORTANT* - I cannot locate my music files on the phone. I have downloaded some files using easy mp3 downloader, but i cant locate them using explorer. Neither under Samsung - music, or media - audio, or even directly in the music folder. I also tried searching for the easy mp3 downloader folder, but couldnt find it.

Any suggestions?

I think that the folders not having a title is normal. I encounter it too. For easier transfer of files (music, pics etc), try downloading and using Kies software.

Did you try using the USB cable that came in the box with the S3?

Long story short this past weekend I tried to do the same and couldn't transfer anything until I used the cable that came with the S3. Other USB cables just wont work.

I don't know what you mean about the camera icon that you right click on.
But after you plug in the USB cable, you should see your phone contents listed under 1 drive (like E or F) and your exterior card under another (like F or G).
You should see folders named "music" or "music downloads", probably on the phone as opposed to the card. And you can move them to the card from here if they're not already there.

That's not right! If I plug my S3 into any PC with supplied or generic micro USB lead I get a full listing - see screen shot below
