Transfering pictures to tablet

Trying to transfer pictures from a sd card to my tab a. I have a ugreen card reader. Do i need to install a app to do this on the tab a?

Airdroid them.
Google photos them in your Gmail account.

Doesn't the Tab A have an SD slot? unless you're talking about a regular SD card and not MircoSD. In which case, the easiest way is to put them in the cloud and then connect the tab to the cloud account. If you prefer to store them locally, then you can go the copy to PC and then to tab route or you could use a card reader and an OTG adapter.

Thank you for your help. The tab a has a micro sd slot. I have a card reader but can't figure out how it's used.

Use the Play store. There are so many apps to transferer your photo of any devices to tablets.
