Transferring music from PC to Hero/Tmobile G2

Hello all new member here

Week old owner of above phone and loving it.. BUT

I've searched the forum and elsewhere but can't figure out how to transfer music from my hardrive onto the phone. I have managed to synch my phone contacts/calendar (which was a job in itself).

The PC which is an XP home version, does not pick up my phone to allow me to transfer files. Can anyone offer advice in very simple terms please?

Once you connect your phone to your computer via the usb cable, you have to go into the Notifications on your phone and and mount the phone as a usb device. Then you can drag and drop from your PC to phone.

i did the "drag and drop" thing about 50 times and it STILL didnt work. i "mounted" the phone and all that but it just doesnt work. my samsung has an app that i can DL from the market but my husbands HTC dosent have such an app.

Connect your phone to your PC. Wait for it to appear in My Computer, copy and paste the music on to your husband's phone's SD card.

It works no flaws unless you are doing something wrong.
