Hello,
After many hours of trying multiple methods and trying to figure out what was going wrong, I found this site: theunlockr.com. The Samsung Transfix (SCH-R730) is not listed under the many Samsung How To's, so I did what Zdogg did and went with the Admire How To.
At first I thought that this did not work because Superuser was not on my phone after it rebooted. I did what theunlockr said and downloaded Superuser from the Play Store and then got Root Checker also.
When Root Checker said that everything was all good I jumped out of my seat in excitement and then got on here right away to post this so that everyone else can do the same thing.
