Transmitting music via radio frequency????

Is there an app available where I can play my music on my Galaxy S2 through my car stereo via the radio frequency, so I could tune into eg 88.9 on a FM frequency and it picks up the music.

I know you can buy accessories to do this, but is there an app that'll do the same???

Is it even possible??

In order to transmit an FM radio signal, your phone would need to have built-in FM radio transmitter hardware. Built-in FM transmitters are uncommon. If your phone had built-in FM radio transmitter hardware, then your phone probably would have come with a pre-loaded app to turn on the FM radio transmitter.

FM Transmitter is hardware related. Was on my Nokia N97 and N8 and quite a useful feature I found.
