Transparent icons with a background color

Hello,

Just bought a new phone with Android and I just realized that when I download an application where the icon is supposed to be transparent there's always a background color which appears there, behind the icon.

And so I wanted to know if one of you was familiar with this situation or if you know which configuration file can be edited for this. It really seems that it's a default setup, so there might be something to change.

i would try to use another launcher... and could you post an image for others to try and help..
