Travel time and and average speed

Hi there,

I am trying to set up a tasker profile to keep my average speed and travel time using tasker and pop the message including these two data to my pebble.

I ve set up a profile for leaving home and leaving work, but i can not figure out how can I do the rest?

any ideas?

Hi @akaydo,

A few questions to help us understand a bit better what you're after:

1) What would you use as the trigger for these tasks? Would you manually trigger them, trigger based on connecting to your car's head unit, based on leaving a defined location, etc?

2) Are you wanting a one-time pop-up at the end of the trip, or do you want it to be continually updated while you're driving?

3) Are you only interested in tracking home-to-work (and work-to-home), or would you be wanting to calculate every trip?

I'm not saying that I'll be able to work up a solution for you, but hopefully that can at least get us steered in the right direction.

sorry that I have not explained myself that much.

1) I'm going to set variables using these profiles like "lost connection with home wifi & time is btw 7:30 - 8:00 set variable %leavinghome_1 then in if leaving home is 1 > enable gps. the leavingwork will be just like that.

2) I only need a one time pop up, and if I may, would want a .txt file with a date and travel data on it (I'm really into statistics )

3) All travel time would be great but I couldn't manage to find a way to start and stop tracking automatically. using built in tasker variables to check if my speed is greater than a certain value and keep tracking, as soon as it drops to "0" stop tracking is useless since there are lots of traffic lights on my way to home (work) and also heavy traffic. this is why I thought that using variables would be great. I don't want to manually trigger start & stop tracking.
