Hi I was hoping someone could help me with my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 that I tried to do a IMEI number change on today. I used a application I got from Google play called "IMEI Changer free" that I found by searching for "XPOSED IMEI Changer" my device isn't rooted so that's why I went with the app I used so I opened the app and had written down my original IMEI # then then applied the IMEI that it randomly selected for my device and then restarted my device and then when I tried to dial in *#06# to see if it was registering the new IMEI and when I pressed call it simply read "Not registered on network." So now what do I do???? The device is a Verizon device and I wouldn't mind if it was still a Verizon only opperating device but what do I do to make it functional on a Verizon cellular plan and the easiest possible way cus I'm new to this whole thing so the less complicated the better I just need to have a new IMEI on the device to use it and I need help with how it is I make the phone usable now that I tried to put a new IMEI on it and am getting this "not registered on network." Message when trying to view the devices IMEI. So please any advice is good to me and my email is redacted if your able to email me with your help thatd be great and if you have some knowledge in other areas of Tech related things maybe you would helpe with a couple other questions about some of my other projects I've ran into a road block on. So I look forward to hearing back on this and thank you for your interest in my question.

What happens if you put the original IMEI back?

Posting email addresses to public spaces on the internet is generally a bad idea.

BTW I don't know US laws, but where I am changing IMEI is explicitly illegal. If you have a legitimate reason for doing this I'd be curious to hear what it is (bypassing a blacklist is not a legitimate reason, as that means that the phone has been reported as stolen), but because of my country's laws I'm not going to be able to offer any further advice.

I doubt an app in Play would allow you to make an illegal alteration to a hardware setting on an unrooted Verizon phone when you are posting from a VZW IP address...
