Root Tried o flash cyanogenmod 9 phone wont turn on

I previously had cyanogenmod 10.1 installed on my phone but it wasn't working to smoothly so i tried to flash 9.

When i try and turn on my phone normally or boot into recovery my phone starts by showing the first Samsung cyanogenmod screen the quickly flashes up android symble lying down with bunch of code then goes back to samsung cyanogenmod screen. this repeats on an endless loop and i dont have a clue how to get out of it.

First thing, did you do a factory data reset before flashing CM9?

Also, you might be taking a huge bite going from CM 10.1 to CM 9 as the 'sdcard' directory structure is vastly changed once you flash to an Android 4.2.x version ROM from any earlier version, especially if you did not have a custom recovery compatible with Android 4.2.x before flashing CM 10.1.

I completely forgot about factory reset because when i updated i didn't have to. I managed to fix it by going into download mode and using Odin i flash on kit gingerbread again.
