Help tried to fix my samsung ace phone and succeeded in breaking it further!!

Can you help me please?

I dropped my samsung phone on the floor and smashed the screen. To fix it I got a new screen on the Internet and installed it myself using a video on you tube. This was successful at first and my phone was in good working order for about 12 hours.

However the screen then began to work intermittently before the phone started to display fuzz before now failing to display anything. I can still turn the phone on and off and I can hear the volume button working. Whether or not the new screen works I don't really know, but the lights on the buttons do still light up so something is working.

obviously I have broken something in trying to repair the phone, but I'd like some ideas as to what it might be. I.e. is it a loose connection, perhaps some dust or hair somewhere or has something completely failed???

It could be anything, from a short that took out part of the motherboard to a loose connection.

This post should be the header of a new section called "Before you try to fix your own phone".

Now take it to a good shop and pay for the repair, or the next time you post, it's going to be "now nothing works at all".
