I downloaded Skyfire web browser 4.0 on my Samsung galaxy sph100 tablet but it's not in my applications or any where so I can make my default browser or just use. I even had trouble finding it at first to just complete the download, then, i finally pressed the button on the frame of the tablet with 2 lines in a box and there it was just waiting (along with a few more things I'd wondered about for sometime and then chose to forget about). So I clicked on it and when promted I clicked 'put in my files'. I have looked thru every file with negative results and it's driving me crazy. Where did it go, how can I retrieve it and how do i do a search of the tablet--I can check boxes to tell it what to search on the tablet by now but still can't find the magic button to conduct a search of the tablet. Anyway. I think I've given you enough info. Any help you could give me would be so very greatly appreciated-really.

I don't know this device, and Samsung do tend to use their own user interfaces so may not be able to help much. But one thing you could do is check in the settings > Applications and see whether it is listed there. If not then it has not been installed.

I must admit I'm puzzled by all the "put in my files" stuff. Generally to add an app you just select an app in the Play Store and tell it to install, and it goes into your apps. This sounds like you've downloaded the app installer file directly from somewhere, and then the system has cached that file somewhere or other (in which case you want to find it with a file explorer app and click on it to install the app). Unfortunately not being familiar with this device I can't easily guess where it might have squirrelled the file away - my first guess would be a Download or Downloads folder, but that's too obvious.

I guess if all else fails you could try installing from the Play Store - that ought to work.
