Trouble Organizing music library

Hello folks. Not 2 days has passed since i got my Incredible 2 on verizon. The first thing on my priority list was syncing the music on my itunes. I originally thought that I would be able to run itunes on my phone but it appears not (if there is a way to do this plz help).

The music transferred fine, but one thing that didn't transfer were my Itunes playlists. So I created new playlists on my phone, and best way to add songs to the playlist is add whole albums. which saves a giant amount of time as each album contains a ton of song. The trouble with the original player on the droid (also winamp when I found out later) is that it lists the same album separately if the artist has a different name. For example If I have an album called "90s Music", inside which there are a lot of singers, it lists the same album for each different artist.

If there is a way to run itunes on the incredible 2, or if there is another player which deals with this problem, plz help.

Ummm, you can only run itunes on Apple devices, this is an Android device.

If there is a way to run itunes on the incredible 2,

There is: return the Incredible and buy an iphone.

Could you explain a little better? I don't really understand what the problem is. You are saying that different artists are showing up in different albums? Isn't that how its supposed to be?

when I go to albums, it will list the same album as many times as there are artists on that album. Usually, you have the album listed once, and when you click on it, the songs come up.

It looks something like this (random example)

Albums>
8 Mile
90s
90s
90s
90s
90s
90s
90s
90s

Instead of just one "90s" with all the songs inside, those individual ones are artist specific.

Ahh ok, are you using the stock music player? Mine doesnt do this at all. Are you sure the id3 tags are correct for artist and album? If they are off by one character, it will split the album like that.

im guessing not? it also happens with winamp btw. thanks for the info

edit: in itunes, the tag for all my songs are v2.3. Dont think I see any ID3 Tags on the files though
