Trouble reinstalling my stock browser

Or any stock app at that. Do I install or unzip to a specific folder or use a particular app? I backed up my apps using androzip(not sure if that was the appropriete app) but anyhow, it asks to "install" or "extract to," which coNfuses me. It also goes thru the motions of a successful installation only to wind up unsuccessful. Any
help would help

Why are you trying to reinstall stock apps? Is it because you loaded a new ROM?
