Root trouble rooting..

Tried cydia impactor with no success. Says "bug not vulnerable". I'm guessing that my version of Android has been patched to remove the backdoor bug cydia exploits. My dad bought this pos last week, maybe the ones that have been rooted are older versions? Idk.. But any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have the updated version then yes, you cannot root.

Not with Cydia Impactor anymore, seems that exploit was fixed in the latest update. However, I was able to successfully root using "vroot" and following these instructions over from XDA:[ROOT][SHARE] VRoot 1.6.0.3690 - 1-Click Root Method - Lenovo A706, Walkman F800 etc - xda-developers

Only difference, on step 4 on down it's no longer accurate, it now installs some generic Chinese app store (that you can easily uninstall) and another one called "Kinguser" that will do all the rooting for you. You can install supersu to replace the app and use Titanium Backup to freeze/remove "Kinguser" and you are good to go.

Pic attached to my post for proof.

Edit: Just tried to remove the "kinguser" app through titanium backup and it removed root.
