I'm a new android user and new to this board as well. I've been reading a lot on how to solve issues with different apps however I'm stuck on the timestamp problem i've had since i got my new phone.
I bought a Samsung Captivate (AT&T) and unlocked + root. I'm using it on Rogers in Canada (Eastern time zone) and originally had eclair 2.1 installed. I had the timestamp issue so through suggestions on this board installed SMS Time Fix. It worked like a charm.
A couple of days ago I upgraded to Froyo 2.2 through Keis Mini. The timestamp problem still existed so I downloaded SMS time Fix once more. It works at first but somehow the app keeps getting shut off or deactivating itself. I'm guessing the built-in task manager is doing this. This is causing problems since the timestamps come in 5 hours early. I left SMS Time Fix running on the taskbar at the top but when my screen shuts off for awhile and i turn it back on i open up sms time fix again and the Active box is unchecked. Even though the icon is still at the top it is not active.
Has anyone else seen this or had this issue?
