True/False: the Razr comes pre-installed w/screen guard?

In an Amazon ad for Mybat screen protectors, someone wrote that the Razr already comes with a screen protector pre-installed, and that if you look closely you can see a slight misalignment.

Can anyone confirm/deny that our screen already has some sort of removable protector on it?

Almost every phone has a clear plastic piece of film covering the screen when in box.. It is only to prevent scratches during packaging/ shipping. They are meant to be removed by the consumer after purchase.

I think the guy as Verizon store removed the one from my Razr Maxx screen when he activated it, but left the one on the back (one on back has the ESN info on it).

Note these are not the same as the dedicated screen protectors from Steinheil or Zagg..

Personally, I'm running my phone naked.. had a Zagg on my X and felt it collected more fingerprints that it did bare.

Mine definitely had a clear piece of plastic covering the front but it has some writing on it so it's not like you wwant to leave it therefore ever. I left mine on during the 'return' window.

I had the Zagg for a few days. It definitely protects the screen, but it practically doubles the friction - lousy tactile response.

I am using a clear/shiny one from Nillkin that I like. I got my gf one from mybat that has a sort of matte finish that resists fingerprints; that one is REAL nice. I want to switch to that one for Razr.

Yeah, the film it ships with is obviously not intended to stay on. I think the Amazon link was for a different phone that came pre-installed with one that is meant to be left on.
