Help Truncated Homescreen App Names

Is there a way to either edit application names or prevent them from truncating when placed onto one of the three homescreens?

I hate how my homescreen looks when it shows "Alarm Cl...," "The Weath..." or "Scorebo..." instead of Alarm Clock, The Weather Channel or Scoreboard.

I know it's only OCD that makes me even notice such a thing, but I can't be the only one bothered by it. So is there any solution?

I have to say this greatly bothers me in a number of places. For example, I was trying to read the terms of service for Google's Scoreboard App today and the title of the User Agreement was "Terms of S...." or something like that.

What if the title was, "Terms Of Stealing All Your Information And Selling It to Marketing Companies"

I'm being sarcastic, but yeah, its annoying I agree.
