I am having a hard time rooting my phone. I also can't find anything current on the forum. I think my model is way outdated! Anyway, I have been trying for the past few days with z4root and only get 2/3 of the way there. I get to the point of accessing the root shell, but then it force closes to my home screen. Other times, I get a parsing error. Please assist. Is there another method out there?

what system version are you ring to root?
2.2.3? maybe you mean 2.3.4, or 2.3.3
2.3.3 use Pete's root tools
2.3.4 use magic md5 it's two threads down
