Root Trying to root my ZTE Valet, Stopped at Read-only file system

jammerbam

Lurker
So i'm trying to root my phone (btw i am new to all of this, kinda a noob) and i am using cydia impactor. The problem is that when i run the command "# drop SuperSU su to /system/xbin/su " it gives me an error that says "Error: Read-only file system". So then i did some research and found the ADB shell, I looked up some chmod codes to maybe change the "system" folder to "Read-Write" but when i ran the code i got the same error "Read-only file system". So then i tried running the shell in root with "adb root", but then i get the error "adbd cannot run as root in production builds", soo i am very confused.

any help would be great :D

(before i axe this thing in half)

Rooting is very device specific, so I moved your question the the All Things Root subforum for the Valet.:)

I left a permanant link in the forum you posted in. You are posting in the same thread now, just in the new location.:)
