Why have I never heard of this app? I've been on this forum almost constantly since I got my Hero over a month ago and never seen a mention of this or anything like it. Just like the title says, go to the market and search it! It lets you download videos straight to your SD card, if it's a music video you can even get just the music and play it through your music player. I haven't been this excited about my phone since the day I got it!! The only reason I'm here now is because I nearly killed my battery and had to plug it in.
 
I tried Tubedownloader, and it would not work for me for some reason.

I ended paying for TubeDroid which works flawlessly.

What could have been the problem with Tubedownloader?
 
No idea why it didn't work for you. I don't even have the paid version which allows you to download multiple things at once, but I've done it a few times.
 
I wonder if Tubedownloader or TubeDroid will work with the HQ version of youtube on the HTC EVO 4G.

Do you think it will download the videos correctly?
 
The music only option is pretty cool. Until now, I have just used Dolphin Browser when I want to download a Youtube video. Works fine. In fact, the videos that say "This video can not be played" if you try to stream, play normally when downloaded...

Thanks for the tip on the app, I'll have to give it a try...
 
How do you get just the music to download on this? There are some that I would like the video and others just the song..

It should give that option when you go to dl it. It should ask if you would like to download the audio.

I downloaded this app yesterday and it is great indeed. I'm sure there are sites where we can DL movies too - just can't find it... YET! :eek:
 
My videos I download off this go onto my phone not my sd card. How're you gettin it on there?

Is your card mounted? Are you using Astro, or another file manager? With that you can move them around. Unless you have some settings mixed up, the videos should go straight to your SD card.
 
Hm, when I go to gallery it doesn't say it's on the sd card but when I go to astro it says it is. Weird..

Edit: Nevermind, just tested. It's on the sd card.
