Tune In app stops very frequently now

For a number of months I have used my Tune-In Radio app to listen to a particular radio show on my 20 minute commute home from work. I set it up and via Bluetooth the sound comes out of my car speakers. Once in a while the program would stop playing, not necessarily a buffering issue, but I would have to hit the triangular play button on the phone, and it would restart. I would say on average that would happen once each trip.

In the last three weeks all that has changed and the show stops playing every 30 seconds or so. Even hitting the play button doesn't always restart it.

I had thought this was a Bluetooth issue but I find if I am listening to songs on my phone via Bluetooth there is never an interruption. Also if I am at the gym using their wireless I am never interrupted when using the Tune In app.

Does anyone recognize this problem and is it unique to Tune In? Is there some kind of fix or setting change that can make this work like it did in the past? I tried the Connection Stabilizer app but it had no effect on this problem.

My phone is an LG Volt 2. The Android version is: 5.1.1. The Tune In app is up to date.

Thanks for any help.

I use it all day (for my birds :D ) and haven't had a problem in general. It does occasionally disconnect but not a lot or like you describe. However, I can't even get it to open today, it just spins the loading page. My birds are not happy.

I don't know what to tell you to try or why it's not working though, have you tried other stations? It may be the station stream and not Tune In?
