So just yesterday out of no where at work my phone shut off. I attempted to boot it and nothing happened each time. I tried to boot into recovery mode but nothing happened and the phone remained black. So I plugged it in and a green light went on and blinked every few seconds, I looked it up and apparently it means the battery is charging but the device cannot boot. I figured out I could boot to the tools menu with the Power button and Down Volume when it's plugged in but every time I select an option such as factory reset or recovery mode it shuts off and goes back to the green blinking light. This has led me to believe the battery is a goner but I'm no phone expert so that's why I'm here.
I do not know the software version on the phone, my carrier is Verizon and my warranty is expired.
