Turn 3G off on the Motorola Droid?

Anyone know an app that can disable 3G data services on the Motorola Droid?

And before anyone says use APNdroid, the app does not work, still updates all my data services even when set to off.

Basically I just want to disable data when I am at work so it saves battery.

There isn't an free/pay app that I could find. Best possible guess is Jailbreak/"root" which I don't think this site condones.
