Root Turn 4G off?

Anyone know how to turn off 4g through hidden menus? I have the SPC already i just need to know where to go i tried ##626*, but could not seem to find a way to turn it off. I've done this on my motion and my battery last 3 times as long. My wife can't seem to make it a full day at work without her charger. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use the internet widget in spb 3d launcher but it still randomly pops back on every so often. It does give me better batt life. I think when it pops in it checks for emails, facebook, & app updates then goes back out

Thanks I'll check it out, but I was more or less looking for the built in way.

Yes its very odd...my mom always complains about her battery life (her first android) and I cant seem to find anyway to disable data. Its running 2.3.6 just like my old admire so its odd :/

I don't know what my spc is I just want 4g off and only run my wifi radio
