turn off multi-screen

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3...

I accidentally turned multi-screen on with my thumb and cannot get it to turn off. I do not have the mentioned "help" app to use for reference and the manual I downloaded has no mention of this function.

How do I turn it off or find a reference about it so I can figure it out?
