Turn off Noise cancellation in video

When i try to take a video of a running engine, the noise cancellation almost entirely mutes the engine sound. I specifically want to record the engine sound. Can i turn off noise cancellation?

I'm using whatever video program was factory installed.

I searched the app, and online, for a setting but can't find one. I believe the noise cancellation feature is used for all phone operations that utilize the built in microphone for sound input.

I appreciate your work around suggestion, but yeah, I'm just looking for an on/off feature. :)

Somewhere i saw a reference to a second microphone on the phone being used for the noise reduction feature. I'm thinking I'll try covering that microphone to see if i can out-smart the smart phone!

I don't think there's any user way of turning it off...however there's two mics involved that makes noise cancellation work. So I would suggest that covering-up and blocking the secondary mic that's used for noise cancellation, would effectively disable or at least reduce it's effect.

Where the mics are on the phone, maybe in the manual. This is Huawei Mate 10, but I guess there should be something similar in the Samsung S8 manuual.
